Mechanical Heart Valve 2.0

Our goal is to develop and bring to market a mechanical heart valve system that offers both lifelong durability, and freedom from anticoagulants (blood thinners) - a major unmet clinical need.

Our design is heavily informed by state of the art computational simulation methods, and allows for drastic reduction in velocities, turbulence, and platelet activation. This translates to a reduction in the need for anticoagulants - a major limitation of modern mechanical heart valves. We hope this valve will drastically improve the quality of life of our patients, and remain affordable for the burgeoning load of patients in South East Asian countries.
